Songfacts®:

  • An energized Madonna is so in love with her toy boy, that she compares him to various icons of from the past such as Marlon Brando, John Travolta, James Dean, Michael Jordan and Bruce Lee. We think the reference on this mid-tempo production to James Dean driving fast is somewhat unfortunate, as the '50s legend famously lost his life in a car smash.
  • This is not the first time that Madonna has name checked Marlon Brando and James Dean. "Vogue" finds her declaring: "Marlon Brando, Jimmy Dean / On the cover of a magazine."
  • When Madonna declares that her man is "like John Travolta, getting into the groove," she is referencing her 1985 hit, "Into The Groove."
  • Madonna also likens the object of her devotion to such historical figures as Julius Caesar, Al Capone and rather bafflingly, America's 16th president. "You're Abe Lincoln, 'cuz your papa was right," she sings.
  • The song was co-written and produced by Hardy "Indiigo" Muanza, who is part of her group. He manages Madonna's boyfriend Brahim Zaibat as well as her dancer Shay Norman and DJed at her birthday party earlier in 2012.
  • This features the backing vocals of Madonna's daughter Lourdes, who is credited as Lola Leon. It's not the first time Madge's eldest child has helped out her mom. She previously made an appearance toward the end of her mother's video for "Celebration, in which she can be seen doing a backflip.

  • Rabbit Bunny from Westminster MdSuperstar is a brilliant Madonna song about doppleganger daughter Lola! Madonna happily writes "You're Abe Lincoln because you fight for what's right/You're my Angel bringing peace to my life!"
