Songfacts®:

  • Louisiana born singer-songwriter Marc Broussard is the son of acclaimed Louisiana Hall of Fame Guitarist and former member of The Boogie Kings, Ted Broussard. His songs blur genre boundaries combining funk, blues, R&B, rock, and pop elements, mixed with a Southern flavor.
  • This song from Broussard's third album Keep Coming Back features LeAnn Rimes. Broussard explained to Artist Direct why he hooked up with the country singer: "LeAnn and I had done some writing together for her previous record. So whenever these songs came up, and the opportunity was there, somebody mentioned, 'Why don't you get LeAnn on this track?' I called her up, and she jumped at the chance." He added: "I enjoy writing and singing with women. I think female singers have a way of saying things that guys would never think of."
