Songfacts®:

  • Marilyn Chambers, a former spokeswoman for Ivory Soap, was one of the most successful adult film actresses in American history, and shortly after starring in Behind The Green Door, she had hoped that her fame would lead to success with mainstream audiences. When fellow adult film actress Andrea True hit the charts with the single "More, More, More," Chambers decided to cut a song of her own, so she teamed up with Michael Zager, who's best remembered for his single "Let's All Chant." The lyrics and the end of the song leave no doubt what she's getting at, just like with her films. Her notoriety made this song a hit in the clubs. The following year, she starred in the David Cronenberg film Rabid, and mainstream stardom briefly seemed possible. But it never happened due to her controversial career choice, which left her embittered. She continued to perform in adult films on occasion and won a few minor roles in independent mainstream films until her sudden death on April 12, 2009, from a cerebral hemorrhage. >>>
