My Dream

Songfacts®:

  • The lyrics to "My Dream" were written by the actress and singer Marilyn Lovell - later Marilyn Lovell Matz. She performs it at the beginning of the 1972 low-budget horror film Terror House (which was originally called The Folks At Red Wolf Inn although on the opening credits it is called Terror At Red Wolf Inn). She does not appear in the film, but her name is given in the end credits as Marilynn Lovell.

Although she was not a regular songwriter, this was not her last venture into writing for films. It is not clear who wrote the music, presumably not her or she would have been so credited. Although "My Dream" is a long song of sorts, it is far from thematic as the guests at this particular terror house have a tendency to end up in the refrigerator minus their heads. >>>
