Songfacts®:

  • This '80s influenced number was penned by Kai Fish from English indie rock band Mystery Jets. The song features a soaring chorus sung by former Pipettes vocalist Rose Elinor Dougall, as well as vocals from Brooklyn-based rapper Theophilus London.
If you're wondering why Ronson can pull off the '80s sound so convincingly, check out our interview with his step-father: Mick Jones of Foreigner.
  • This is one of three tracks on Record Collection to which Dougall contributes vocals. Explaining the tie up, she told CMU: "Mark had always been a Pipettes fan, but when he heard some of my solo work I think he felt that it had things in common with what he was aiming for with this new record of his. He took a bit of a punt on me, and when I arrived in New York I had no idea what to expect, but Mark made it really easy for everyone to find their own place within the process and everyone had the freedom to bring their own perspectives."
  • Thomas Brenneck of funk/soul band Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings plays bass guitar on this track.
