Songfacts®:

  • This pop-funk jam is the second single taken from Record Collection. The record is the third studio album by Brooklyn-located English musician and producer Mark Ronson and was released under the moniker Mark Ronson and the Business Intl. It features Scottish vocalist Kyle Falconer from indie rock band The View crooning the chorus while American rapper Spank Rock supplies the rhymes.
  • The song was co-written by Dave McCabe of The Zutons, who penned the original version of Ronson's big hit, "Valerie." Ronson told the NME: "As he wrote the biggest song on my last record I thought, 'Why not bring him out to New York?' We had a few nights out - I met the Valerie with him! I felt like giving her everything I had on me (mimes taking out wallet), just, 'Thank you!.'"
  • Ronson told The Metro that McCabe is an avid cyclist. Said the Anglo/American singer-songwriter: "He was sitting on a couch in a studio in Brooklyn, singing this really carefree playful hook: 'I want to ride my bike until I get home.' He rides his bike everywhere in Liverpool. You just go: 'There's Dave, a 28-year-old rock star, still riding his bike everywhere,' which I think is really cool."
  • French model and actress Josephine de La Baume starred in the song's music video. She and Ronson had been dating since 2009 and they married in the French city of Aix-en-Provence on September 5, 2011.
