Songfacts®:

  • Following in the tradition of Ramones songs that say what they want ("I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend," "I Wanna Be Sedated"), the band's longtime drummer Marky Ramone released this song in 2015 about wanting to win the lottery.

In our interview with Marky, he explained that this song was inspired by a friend who won $50,000 on a scratch-off ticket - a form of lottery. "I was thinking more about a young teenager when I was writing it, so he could just live his dreams without having to think of what he has to confront in the future," said Ramone.
  • Marky and Dee Dee Ramone issued solo albums after the band decided to call it quits in 1996. Marky wrote this song in 1998 and included it on his second album, The Answer To Your Problems?
  • In 2015, Ramone released an animated video for this song where his cartoon likeness goes on a joyride with a lady friend and a rat.
