Songfacts®:

  • Guitarist Sam Macintyre said about this hard-hitting song: "'Habits' is about certain people having certain habits that aren't good, and getting very carried away."
  • Marmozets vocalist Becca Macintyre explained the story behind the song to Kerrang:

"I had lyrics hanging around that felt like they needed to go on the song. We've been brought up together and we've learnt that you can't pick up people's bad habits, because sometimes that's just part of who someone is. Maybe things that annoy you should be left alone, because nagging at people doesn't get you anywhere. That's what the chorus say; stop digging at each other and getting carried away and just have a good time."
