Songfacts®:

  • York is a Canadian singer/songwriter who is influenced by the Motown and gospel records he listened to growing up. He told us: "This song is all about getting out of where you are and moving on to bigger and better things. In the past few years I've met people who have never even left their own town. I always had this romantic idea of showing up at my girlfriend's (now fiancee's) place with a bag and saying 'let's get out of here - I've packed your bags' and then heading out on the road to see where the world takes us. I just think people are missing out on a whole lot of life and they should see more of the world. ;-)"
