  • This was one of the first songs written for Risk to Exist. Paul Smith penned it when he was staying above Berlin's famous Hansa Studios. The track's use of the phrase "a government that is out of touch"' set the agenda for other tunes that follow, in which Smith tries to express his disenchantment with the current UK political climate in a nuanced way.

    "That song is saying I won't use these familiar clichéd allegories and metaphors," he noted to The Independent. "There must be another way of writing about these things. In the end, the song's answer is 'I'll be around for you'. It's a solidarity song. It can be very intimate and personal."
