  • This is both an ode to McFly's fans but also a dig at those who are too snobbish to admit to liking a Pop band. Vocalist and guitarist Tom Fletcher explained to Clickmusic: "We definitely don't want it to be seen as a negative song at all. It's more positive, you know, uniting the people together that do like us, and saying if you don't, well, we don't care as we're happy and proud of who we are."
  • This was McFly's first single since setting up their own label in pursuit of greater creative control. They surprised many by distributing copies of their album free with the UK newspaper, the Mail on Sunday.
  • The video was shot in Toronto, Canada and was directed by Steve Jocz, the drummer from Sum 41.
  • Vocalist and guitarist Tom Fletcher (from the Mail On Sunday July 20, 2008): "We made this the first single because it celebrates what is most important to all four of us-our band. We're not saying everyone should love us, we're just saying that if you don't, we don't care!"
