Songfacts®:

  • McCauley explained: "I wrote this song for a friend of mine. All of a sudden I was laying there one night and thought the first line has to capture everything. I was staring at the clock and it was midnight, and I wrote, 'Midnight workings, weather down the storyline, I try to find the truth between all the lies' and it all seemed to work."
  • This was featured on the soundtrack to the 2005 movie Elektra.

  • Beryl from New York, NyI think this young lady is pretty good. I think that she is a head of her time. I like the song, Tap That, I'll pay you to shoot him. Her voice is so rich, mature and filled with so much emotions of experience, it is hard to believe that she is only 18 years old. Megan is going to be super big. I just hope she takes care of herself to become a success in the music industry. She is part Anastacia, part Melissa Ethridge. That is pretty powerful!
