Speculation was rife that the song is a dig at Mel B, who said on James Corden's The Late Late Show that only three of the Spice Girls were touring in 2017 because "the other two bitches didn't wanna do it!" Asked by The Sun if she is addressing her former Spice bandmate, Melanie C replied:

    "I would never confirm or deny that. I have experienced bullying at school, my early 20s, these are my thoughts and feelings, not pointing the finger at anybody.

    This song, everything I write is from personal experience, never going to name names or confirm names, that's fair."
