Songfacts®:

  • This song finds M.I.A. concentrating on rhyming evocative words that end with the word 'tent.' Her friend Julian Assange plated a small part in the creation of the song. She explained to NME that the WikiLeaks founder downloaded, "every possible English word in the library of the internet that had the word 'tent' in it. He got me, like, 5,000 words and I had to write a song. I only used about 40."

Assange also came up with the title of Matangi's opening track, "Karmageddon."
