Songfacts®:

  • MIA teamed up with H&M to pen this sartorially conscious tune for World Recycle Week, which took place in 2016 between April 18th and 24th. The song highlights the clothing chain's campaign to fight climate change by recycling unwanted clothes at their stores instead of throwing them away during the week-long celebration of sustainable style. "If all [H&M] do is go and inspire another high-street brand to get in on caring and being conscious, or if H&M gets criticized for any of their factory processes, these are all good things," MIA told Vogue.
  • The song's music video was shot across the world in Senegal, Iceland, the United States and Europe. M.I.A. said to Vogue of the dancers featured in the clip. "I brought Whiteboy and Riley, the two dancers who I used to have on tour, so they were like my crew, and the others were put forward by H&M," she says of the dancers featured in the clip. "They chose people who they felt were leaders in social media circles or whatever fields they're in. I also put forward an artist from South Africa called Dope Saint Jude, who's in it."
