Songfacts®:

  • In 2009 Michael Sweet's wife of more than 22 years, Kyle, passed away from ovarian cancer. In the midst of his grief and pain, Lisa Champagne-Sweet came into the Stryper frontman's life and the pair tied the knot the following year. This song finds Sweet paying tribute to his second wife. "I wrote this song for my wife Lisa, who truly did teach me how to live again," he told AntiMusic.

"I've met many people over the years but Lisa is unlike any other. She accepts everyone, without judgment and loves unconditionally. I've learned a lot from her and I wanted to write a song that would express my gratitude. I sang the song at our wedding and it will forever be her song."
  • The song features Sweet's Stryper band mates drummer Robert Sweet and bassist Tim Gaines.
