Songfacts®:

  • The second single from Mike Posner's Pages album finds the Detroit native going back to his roots and working with longtime friend Big Sean. "Big Sean really put me in the game," Posner explained to Letty B on KMVQ-FM. "I met Sean when I was in high school. He came to my mom's house and I played him some beats. I started making beats for him."
  • Posner said regarding the song's positive message: "We are often told not to follow are dreams. In my life everything has worked out when I followed my heart and dreams. When I haven't done that everything has not worked out. I just wanted to share my story and what has worked for me to kids younger than me."
  • The video was shot at Posner Detroit elementary school with the first graders and also at his high school. The singer's parents and big sister all make appearances.
