Songfacts®:

  • Miranda told MTV News that this is her favorite track on Sparks Fly. "I love songs that are a little tongue-in-cheek," she said of the song.
  • The song was co-written by Kesha and her mom, the Tennessee songwriter Pebe Sebert. Kesha's mother began her music career as a punk rock singer before penning Dolly Parton's 1980 chart-topper "Old Flames (Can't Hold a Candle to You)." When her daughter broke through as successful singer, Pebe Sebert contributed to three tracks on her debut album Animal, including the hit single "Your Love Is My Drug."
