Songfacts®:

  • This promotional single finds Missy Elliott linking up with Timbaland. Missy's frequent collaborator co-wrote and produced the track and also delivered the hook. The song was released concurrently with "Triple Threat" on September 17, 2012, marking Missy's first new solo material since her 2005 album The Cookbook.
  • The song finds Missy and Timbaland using a baseball metaphor to highlight their return. "Now I'm in the 9th inning, thought I fell off ain't quite finished," Missy spits. Timbaland explained on Hot 97: "The music game is in a bad state, so we're in the 9th inning like World War 2 and we have to come in and try to salvage what's left of it."
