  • Morcheeba lists some of their influences as Jimi Hendrix, Nick Drake, A Tribe Called Quest, Fairport Convention, and Aphex Twin.
  • During Skye Edwards hiatus from the group, she released two solo albums: Mind How You Go, released in 2006 and Keeping Secrets, released in 2009. Her songs have appeared in commercials as well as in an episode of Grey's Anatomy.
  • Skye Edwards' name is actually Shirley Klarise Yonavive Edwards. She shortened it by taking the first letter of the four parts of her entire name.
  • After dismissing Skye Edwards from the band in 2003, Morcheeba enlisted the services of various vocalists, including Daisey Martey, Jody Sternberg, Judie Tzuke, Thomas Dybdahl, Bradley Burgess, Korean-American rapper Cool Calm Pete and Manda Samolo. In 2010, Edwards returned to Morcheeba, again as lead vocalist.
  • The band's name, Morcheeba, indicates "the way of cannabis." The name breaks down as follows: "MOR" meaning "middle of the road, and cheeba, which is an informal name for cannabis.
  • When asked about his strangest concert experience, multi-instrumentalist Ross Godfrey said, "I took my mum to see Bruce Springsteen a couple of years ago; it was a great gig. A few days later, we were playing at the Hollywood Bowl, and in the box right in front of me sat half of the E Street Band. It made it very hard to play, but they seemed to like the music. At one point, they were all on their feet, clapping and singing along."
