In the official biography of the band, bass player Overend Watts said of the title, "We found the name scrawled on a toilet wall in the Pied Bull. I think it was the name of a group."

  • Kip Stewart from Herne Bay Kentl am inventor of the band name Thunderbuckram, we used to rehearse at the Pied Bull lslington London whilst contracted to Transatlantic records by owner Nat Joseph.
    The name came to me in an LSD inspired dream in 1967.
    We did record an album that was never released by Transatlantic,members included Barry Atkinson “Humblebums” (Billy Connelly & Gerry Rafferty “Baker St” & Kip Stewart Overlanders and Rothchilds (Decca)
