Songfacts®:

  • There are many contenders for the worst song ever written, such as "I Want My Baby Back," and there are doubtless many candidates for the worst Christmas song, but in 2015 there appeared to be a consensus for the worst Christmas song of that year. On December 17, the Bromley Times published Mr. Showbiz on trial for the worst Christmas song ever on page 7 wherein it was reported that the official video had been recorded in a Tesco supermarket at Bromley. Simon Gross (Mr. Showbiz) was quoted by Tom Pyman, "All the campaigning is going well, and the track was actually voted number one in a dance chart in Europe."

Actually, the song isn't that bad if it is not taken too seriously, but most people don't appear to have seen any novelty value in it.

It was released on iTunes October 27, 2015. >>
