  • Although Mudhoney is known for their overdriven guitar riffs, when the band first got together to pen their earliest songs - such as this classic composition - it was without the amps cranked to ten. As singer/guitarist Mark Arm told us, "I remember before we actually got together as a band, Steve and I got together in my apartment a couple of times and he'd play his Mustang and I'd play my Hagstrom without being plugged in, and try to show each other riffs and stuff, so we had something ready to go when we did get together with Dan [Peters] for the first time, and then later on when Matt [Lukin] joined up."

    The song first appeared as the B-side of Mudhoney's first single, "Touch Me, I'm Sick."
