Songfacts®:

  • Canadian post-grunge band My Darkest Days were founded by vocalist Matt Walst, whose older brother Brad is the bassist for Three Days Grace. Instead of playing in his brother's band, Matt decided to form one of his own with his friends Brendan McMillan on bass guitar and Doug Oliver on drums. In 2009, he was introduced to Toronto-based musician Sal Coz Costa, who became the band's guitarist. Chad Kroeger of Nickelback discovered My Darkest Days and he signed them up for his production company, 604 Records. This tune about a pole dancer was the first song they wrote after signing and it was released as their debut single.
  • Both Kroeger and Zakk Wylde make guest appearances on the song. Wylde is the frontman/guitarist for Black Label Society and a former guitarist for Ozzy Osbourne.
  • The video was filmed at the Hard Rock Las Vegas Vanity nightclub. Both Kroeger and Wylde feature in the clip.
  • There is also a remix of the single featuring rapper Ludacris.
