Songfacts®:

  • This is a release from R&B/soul/J-pop singer Mya's sixth new album, K.I.S.S.. The American singer explained the inspiration for the song to AOL Music: "So many things inspired it. Humanity, togetherness and the causes I'm involved with like NOH8 campaign. It's all about universal love and acceptance regardless of differences over a hot dance track that gets the party going."

The NOH8 campaign is a photographic silent protest in direct response to the passage of Proposition 8, overturning the California Supreme Court's ruling that same-sex couples have a constitutional right to marry.
  • The album title stands for "Keep It Sexy and Simple." MYA explained to AOL Music: "I named it that because it's sealed with a kiss as gift from me to my fans. It's about keeping it simple by keeping negative energy and unnecessary things to a minimum. Being simple is sexy to me."
