Songfacts®:

  • "Fly High" is the theme song from a short lived Japanese TV series CA to Oyobbi!; it was performed by the Japanese all-girl rock outfit the Nakanomori Band. Translated into English, the song goes something like:

Fly high, it's OK to be reckless, it's OK to be clumsy too
    I'll always, always be myself
Wow yeah, love and dreams are no picnic
    I'll give myself more credit
Even when I'm having a bad day I'm ambivalent
That's proof that I still haven't grown up, right?
Happiness comes in tons of different shapes
So don't compare me to somebody else
Yeah, I have times when I feel down, but
"You only live once, hooray for me"
I'll fly up into the great big sky

It has to be said the girls do look better than they perform, but that is really no insult because they do look good. Although they were formed only in May 2004, they split up in 2008, probably partly because vocalist Ayako had to undergo throat surgery. >>>
