Songfacts®:

  • This is a track from Distant Relatives, a collaboration album by rapper Nas and reggae artist Damian Marley. The album's concerns are mainly social and political, despite Nas going through a bitter divorce with the singer Kelis whilst it was being recorded. In the midst of their difficulties the rapper's ex-wife gave birth to his first son, Knight, and the traumatic situation is alluded to on this track. "That track's not even the tip of the iceberg," Nas told The Daily Mirror. "I didn't want this record to be all about that. I will express it on my next solo album. It will be great for my son when he gets older to see what his father did when he was born. I live with no regrets."
  • The song features in the soundtrack for the 2010 FIFA World Cup video game.
