Songfacts®:

  • Natalie Stovall wrote this song with:

Jason Gantt, who has credits as an engineer on releases by The Chieftains, Brooks & Dunn, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill.

Maile Misajon, who was once a member of the girl group Eden's Crush. Their debut single "Get Over Yourself" peaked at #8 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2001, but proved to be their only hit. Another Eden's Crush member, Nicole Scherzinger, later rose to fame as the lead singer of the burlesque troupe turned-recording act, the Pussycat Dolls.
  • Stovall recalled the collaboration: "It was our first time writing together, and I came in bearing my soul about my record label shutting down and the struggles that I was facing in the wake of suddenly being an independent artist again. I'm a glass-half-full kind of girl, so I was trying to focus on how those challenges would eventually become a blessing and make me stronger as an artist. Once we got started, it was one of the most fun and easy co-writes."
