Songfacts®:

  • This was co-written by OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder, who also co-wrote and produced "Do It Well" for Jennifer Lopez and Leona Lewis' UK chart topper "Bleeding Love."
  • Reggae rapper Sean Kingston performs on this song. Natasha Bedingfield told MTV News about her collaboration with Kingston: "Well, he's a labelmate of mine and his stuff, I just really like it and I thought he's got a nice, positive vibe, so it would be good with him on there. And he's done his thing and it's really added something."
  • Natasha Bedingfield told msn.com about the song and how she hooked up with Sean Kingston: "I was working in the studio with [producer] J.R. [Rotem] and he's very much involved in the Sean Kingston thing. He showed me some of Sean's stuff and I thought it would be really cool to get him on that track. I felt like I needed a light-hearted song that was a love story [on the album]. I just think it's quite sweet. It's like a relationship that never got followed through, never got consummated. It's a nice idea and we all have those people in our lives; we look back and we kind of realize they've always been there and we remember to be grateful for them."
  • Bedingfield explained to Digital Spy: "It's a song about someone who's been there all your life and has always loved you, but you've never noticed it until now. It's about that point of realization: 'Wow, that person really is the love of my life!'"
