Songfacts®:

  • Natasha Bedingfield recorded this as the end-of-credits song for Tangled: The Series. The American 2D-animated musical fantasy television series is based on Disney's 2010 computer-animated film Tangled. It is centered around the German fairy tale character Rapunzel, who in the original Brothers Grimm story was a young princess with long magical hair who yearned to leave her secluded tower.
  • The TV series highlights Rapunzel's newfound freedom and her exploration of the world surrounding her. Bedingfield told Billboard magazine the collaboration was a perfect match, since she easily relates to Rapunzel's unrelenting curiosity and excitement. "I wake up in the morning and I'm like, 'There are a lot of experiences outside my door that I could be missing if I don't get out of the house,'" she said. "That's the way I look at the world."
