Songfacts®:

  • This is the lead single from Natasha Bedingfield's Roll With Me album. The entire record was co-written and produced by Linda Perry, the singer-songwriter behind Christina Aguilera's "Beautiful," and Pink's "Get The Party Started."
  • This song was inspired by Natasha Bedingfield's childhood days, which were often spent roller skating with her brother Daniel (of "Gotta Get Thru This" fame) in Lewisham, South East London.
  • Bedingfield told The Sun that roller skating was the part of her childhood when she felt most free because she could get outside of the concrete walls.

"A theme of the album is freedom and I felt quite free making it," she said. "The industry changed - there are no rules. People can release music and don't need anyone's permission."
