Songfacts®:

  • British producer Nathan Dawe first built a loyal following by releasing mixes on Soundcloud but made his mark when he became the first DJ without a hit single or radio show to sell out his own concert at London's O2 Arena. Dawe made his Top 40 debut in April 2020 with a rework of Sweet Female Attitude's 2000 garage-pop classic "Flowers." This song is its follow-up.
  • The anthemic slice of feel-good dance music finds uncredited vocalist Ella Henderson crooning about how she feels "lighter" now that her lover is out of her life.
  • YouTuber/rapper KSI spits a boastful verse where he flexes about his success, wealth and large lunch box.
  • Nathan Dawe, KSI, and Ella Henderson wrote the summer banger along with:

Songwriter Jonny Lattimer. He is best known for his collaborations with Ellie Goulding on her first two albums, including the hit single "Starry Eyed."

Producer and topline writer Tre Jean-Marie, who has co-written many of Craig David's songs, including "Got It Good" and "Magic."
  • It was Henderson who originally wrote the song. The singer-songwriter felt it didn't fit her artist profile at the time, so she pitched it to the producer. "If you were to hear the song like it was before, Ella wrote it in a ballady, slow, classical way," Dawe told Official Charts. "It came to us and we obviously sped it up, pitched the vocal up and completely transformed it. She thought it was sick and wished us luck with it."
