Songfacts®:

  • Navos (birth name Ross Harrington) is a Liverpool-based tech-house DJ and producer who first started making music in his early teens. His big breakthrough came when Island Records approached his management about signing him and releasing his track "Believe Me." With a major label behind it, the club anthem soon started climbing the UK charts.
  • The singer here is Abi Flynn, a popular dance singer who is also the voice on "So Much In Love" by D.O.D.

In the song, Flynn is trying to persuade her love interest that she will love him forever. "If you only believe me," she exclaims, "don't you think like that."
  • Navos told Explore Liverpool that after finding the vocal online, he made the first version in his girlfriends' bedroom on his headphones. The producer added that he doesn't normally create his music that way - he'd normally go into his studio and "proper go into it," rather than doing it on his headphones. "It wasn't a track that I thought would blow up," he explained, "I put loads of effort into it, but it was just another idea."
