Songfacts®:

  • Ne-Yo made the tabloids in 2014 for ending his relationship with Monyetta Shaw (the mother of his two children) and sharing the news with the world via Instagram. The songwriter admitted to The Boombox that he was to blame for the split as he cheated on her. One of the more personal tunes on Non Fiction, this 42 second track was inspired by his infidelity. Ne-Yo explained that the lyrics on this song are incomplete as it was "too painful" for him to finish.
