Songfacts®:

  • Recorded for Neck Deep's debut EP Rain In July, the band continue to perform the song at their shows as it remains a fan favorite. However singer Ben Barlow admitted to Kerrang in a 2018 interview that he personally can't listen to the tune anymore. He explained:

"It means a lot to people and I think it's probably one of the first songs that fans hear when they get into us. But the meaning is completely lost to me now. It's about a girl I was going out with when I was about 15 or 16 years old, and I'm just so over it now. I mean, it was nearly 10 years ago.

Also, listening to it reminds me of how horribly s--t my vocals were back then. So it's definitely a painful one for me, and it's a painful one to try to sing too."
