Songfacts®:

  • This somber acoustic-guitar waltz is a paean about Young's longtime friend and Shakey Productions sidekick Larry (L.A.) Johnson, who died of a heart attack in January 2010, reportedly while preparing to take Young's son Ben to a hockey game. Young sings of his pal vacationing in heaven while all that he does is "work, work, work."
  • Young is seen performing this song during the film Neil Young Journeys where director Jonathan Demme mixes footage from a May 2011 gig at Toronto's Massey Hall with a journey to some of the singer's old haunts at his childhood home of Omemee, Ontario.
