Songfacts®:

  • This track features Elly Jackson, who also sings on "Tutti Frutti " and "Plastic." Jackson first supported New Order on their 2014 tour with her band La Roux, starting a mutual appreciation of each other's work.
  • Drummer Stephen Morris told Q magazine that New Order bassist Tom Chapman was the prime originator of this disco tune. "He loves all that stuff. Nothing wrong with wanting to be in a disco band. God knows, we did for years," he said.

"These tunes just make you smile, don't they? Joy Division would never, ever make something like that. Which," Morris added mischievously, "is all the more reason for doing it."
  • Chapman told Q: "I'm really proud of that bassline. Bernard (Sumner, vocals) really pushed me on that. 'Really go for it.' I went home that night thinking, 'That is properly good, that one.'"
