  • Horan co-wrote "Science" with Jamie Scott, Daniel Bryer and Mike Needle. Scott, Bryer and Scott co-wrote four tracks on Horan's 2019 album Heartbreak Weather, including the single "Put A Little Love On Me."
  • Joel Little produced the understated, strings-laden song. Kiwi producer Little rose to renown as Lorde's collaborator on her debut album, Pure Heroine. He's also worked with Taylor Swift and Khalid.
  • "Science" is the ninth track on The Show. The song received pre-release buzz from a brief teaser of Horan singing the song on social media two days before he dropped the album.
