  • This rousing instrumental was written by Nickel Creek members Chris Thile and Sara Watkins when the group was living together in Laurel Canyon, the Los Angeles neighborhood where many famous folk songs of the '60s and '70s were written (Joni Mitchell's album Ladies of the Canyon is a reference to the area).
  • In our interview with Sara Watkins, she explained: "That song didn't come from an emotion. I think it's more of an energy, possibly, than an emotion. Obviously there's an excitement about that instrumental that's really fun to play. It's kind of intense but it's happy. It's upbeat, which is a common feeling to come from a fiddle tune, a fiddle instrumental."
