Songfacts®:

  • After teaming up for the 2019 banger "Hot Girl Summer," things got frosty between Nicki Minaj and Megan Thee Stallion when Megan joined forces with Nicki's rap rival Cardi B on "WAP" in 2020. Fast forward to the next few years, and these rap queens kept throwing shade at each other.

When Thee Stallion dropped "Hiss" on January 26, 2024, she allegedly threw a line that dissed Minaj's convicted sex offender husband, Kenneth Petty. Nicki dropped "Big Foot" three days later in response.
  • "Big Foot" is a savage barrage of insults that guarantees this feud stays hot for a long time. The title throws shade at the 2020 incident where Megan Thee Stallion got shot in the foot by Tory Lanez. Nicki isn't buying it - she's skeptical about Megan's injury. By loading the track with references to the 2020 incident, she's keeping the fire burning.
  • Minaj throws some heavy blows throughout the track:

She hints at buying up Megan's song rights.
Claims Megan slept with her late mother's partner.
Accuses Megan of relying on ghostwriters, including her ex, Pardison Fontaine.
Slams Megan for allegedly getting cozy with her ex best friend Kelsey Nicole's man.

Critics and fans weren't feeling it, especially the parts about Megan's mom, Holly Thomas, who passed from a brain tumor in March 2019. Too much, too far.
  • Baltimore rapper and producer Tate Kobang created the beat. His other productions for Minaj include the Pink Friday 2 tracks "Red Ruby Da Sleeze" and "Everybody."
