Songfacts®:

  • Nicki Minaj and Remy Ma reignited their long-running feud when the Queen Barbz appeared to throw subliminal shots towards the Terror Squad rapper on her verse for Gucci Mane's "Make Love." Ma responded with her diss tracks "ShETHER" and "Another One." Now on "No Frauds," Minaj aims directly at Ma.
  • Minaj addresses claims of a 360 deal and also references Jay Z's verse on the remix of "All The Way Up":

    They say numbers don't matter,
But when they discussin' the kings
They turn around and say LeBron ain't got six rings
I never signed a 360, bitch you wild dumb
That's why Jay ain't clear his verse for your album

Ma claimed on "ShETHER" that Minaj signed a "360 deal," which means multiple labels took a cut of her earnings before it reaches her hands. The Queen Barbz vehemently denied this.

The remix of "All the Way Up" with Jay's verse did not appear on Remi's album Plata O Plomo even though it was released in February 2017, whereas the remix was released nine months earlier. Instead, the original single version was used. The implication is that Jay didn't clear his verse.
  • Halfway through Minaj's verse she references Ma's six-year stint in prison for shooting her then-friend Makeda Barnes Joseph in 2007.

What type of bum bitch shoot a friend over a rack?
What type of mother leave her one son over a stack?

The shooting happened during a fight over a purse that allegedly contained $3,000. Ma had believed she would be acquitted, so much so that she had not said goodbye to her 8-year-old son on the morning she was convicted.
  • The song also reunites Minaj with her fellow Young Money squadsters Lil Wayne and Drake who spit a verse each. It's the first time that the trio have appeared on a song together since 2014, when they linked up for The Pinkprint tracks "Truffle Butter" and "Only." For a time Minaj was caught in the middle of the on-going Drake/ Meek Mill beef. However, now her relationship with Meek Mill has finished, it appears the old pals have buried the hatchet.
  • Nicki Minaj and Drake performed the song live for the first time on March 12, 2017 during the Paris leg of Dreezy's Boy Meets World Tour. Lil Wayne was not in attendance.
  • The song's Benny Boom-directed video finds Minaj traipsing through London and siting on an ornate throne as the self-proclaimed Ruler of Rap. As the Queens MC explained on Twitter, she had to shoot the clip in two separate locations because Lil Wayne "wasn't granted access into London."

The video also features Remy Ma's former friend and Love & Hip-Hop co-star Rashidah Ali, whom Minaj name-checks on the song in a jab at Remy's alleged plastic surgery. According to Ali, her relationship with Remy crumbled behind the scenes. "I'm not working with Nicki out of spite or payback. Nicki and I were friendly long before the rap beef unfolded with Remy," wrote Ali in an open letter to fans. "The inseparable bond that once was ended a long time ago," she added regarding her friendship with Remy.

Minaj filmed part of the video on Westminster Bridge on March 19, 2017 just a few days before Khalid Masood killed four people by ramming his car into pedestrians, before fatally stabbing police officer Keith Palmer. Despite reports that the scenes would be cut following the terrorist atrocity, Benny Boom decided to retain those sequences. The decision to keep the Westminster Bridge shots drew negative comments from a number of fans on social media.
