Songfacts®:

  • Here, Nicki Minaj sheds light on her split from her boyfriend Meek Mill. It represents the first time that she has opened about the end of her long-term relationship with the Philly rapper.

You've been in the wrong so long
    You don't even know right
Call my line, call my line, I'm like, "Please, boy"
You just need to leave, boy
I ain't got time for you
Just once, do somethin' for me, boy

Nicki Minaj began dating Meek Mill in December 2014, following the Philly rapper's release from prison. (Mill had spent five months in jail for violating his probation.) Their relationship continued for a couple of years and inspired several songs including "All Eyes on You" and "Bad For You."
  • Nicki Minaj wrote the song with Starrah, who also co-penned the Queen Barbz's "No Frauds." Starrah's other credits include Rihanna's "Needed Me," Kevin Gates' "2 Phones," Drake's "Fake Love" and Big Sean's "No Favors."
  • The song's steamy music video finds Nicki Minaj romancing her love interest on a floating bed as well as a number of other aquatic scenes. The sultry clip was shot by fashion photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Pigott and was the first visual they'd filmed for an artist since Madonna's equally erotic "Girl Gone Wild" promo in 2012.
