Songfacts®:

  • This 4-minute freestyle finds Minaj addressing her detractors and those who don't believe in her. We hear her claim to own the Los Angeles Clippers and reference ex-Clippers owner Donald Sterling, who was banned from the NBA after leaked recordings of him making racist comments were made public. Minaj follows up with boasts about owning some homies and her own liquor, as well as further basketball references plus mentions of several celebrities including Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith.
  • The track was produced by Soulja Boy, who also features. It was released through Minaj's official SoundCloud account on May 3, 2014.
  • Minaj dished about the origin of the word "yasss," while chatting with The Insider correspondent Nina Parker. "I guess drag queens started that whole little lingo," the rapper explained. "When I watch RuPaul's Drag Race, I live for the way they speak. I think that derives from the way that world speaks. Females, we adopted it and it makes us feel very cocky and sexy and feminine."
