Songfacts®:

  • "Nobody Can Change Me" was slated to be the first single from Nicole Scherzinger following the demise of her group The Pussycat Dolls in 2010. It got a limited digital release but was quickly pulled, and her planned solo album, Her Name Is Nicole, was canceled. Scherzinger ended up releasing Killer Love as her debut album in 2011, but her solo career never really took hold. She ended up becoming a popular TV personality, showing up on lots of competition shows, and also a stage actress.
  • The song debuted on Ryan Seacrest's KIIS-FM radio show on May 24, 2010 and was released on iTunes the following day.
  • Scherzinger explained: "The single is an empowering song, so it's very much like Pussycat Dolls, but it's just me singing the same thing."
