Songfacts®:

  • Daily Duppy is a freestyle series created by GRM Daily, a UK-based online music platform. The series features artists from a variety of genres, including hip-hop, grime, drill, and Afrobeats. It was launched as a response to the success of Jamal Edwards' "Fresh 64" ("F64") release series on SB.TV, where artists rap 64 bars of original lyrics.

Each Daily Duppy episode features an artist performing a freestyle over a single beat. The freestyles are typically filmed in a simple setting, with the artist rapping in front of a two-colored background.
  • On September 21, 2023, Nines released his highly anticipated Daily Duppy debut. Fans had been eagerly awaiting this moment, and The Church Road general was the most requested artist on the channel for a long time. Packed with Nines' signature witty punchlines, it blew up on the UK Singles chart, landing at #20 the very next week.
  • Nines' Daily Duppy debut at #20 broke the record for the highest UK chart position for a Daily Duppy track, previously held by Central Cee's 2021 track, which peaked at #35.
  • "Daily Dappy" is the lead single from Nines' Crop Circle 3 album. He ends it by rapping:

Uh, now they're sayin' that I rap the hardest
Crop Circle draw on me like a tattoo artist
