Songfacts®:

  • In this song, Noah Cunane is trying to get out of the friendzone with a girl who is hung up on another guy, but he doesn't want to be her quick fix. "Call him first," he tells her, then only after she breaks it off, they can get together.
  • Cunane lived in New Jersey and Pennsylvania before heading to China at age 15 for pop star training. Returning to America, he built a following on Soundclound under the name Sachi before signing with 300 Entertainment. "Call Him," released in July 2020, follows his singles "Medicine" and "Miami."
  • During the coronavirus pandemic, directors had to get creative. For the "Call Him" clip, directed by Jori Teplitzky and John Frost, Cunane and his love interest (played by Dominique Druckman) are never together - they're shown in split screen with Cunane texting her lyrics from the song.
