  Vocalist Conor Mason told The Sun: "This song was hard to release. I didn't know if I even felt comfortable releasing it at the time. But I feel it's offered a sense of unity to people. It was written about the lunacy of the last couple of years, which in reflection was the kettle been turned on - now the kettle has fully exploded."
• Conor Mason recalled how a song written about 2019 became all too relevant about 2020. "On the day it debuted on Radio One, I went down High Street near me and just saw people stealing toilet paper and buying bucket-loads of pasta," he told American Songwriter. "I remember feeling delirious and dizzy at what was going on around me. It felt like we'd written a song about the previous year and all the lunacy on the planet, but it felt like it didn't almost belong in that year anymore. It belonged in that week."
• Opening with a glam rock guitar riff, the track transforms into a rock/dance/R&B hybrid. Conor Mason told Apple Music: "The three of us have such eclectic music tastes that we create something odd each time. This song was the epitome of our melting pot. When it started, it had this T. Rex influence to it. Then we thought, 'How do we take it as far away as possible from that?' So you add this R&B thing into the pre-chorus, which just slips on its head, then do a pop-based chorus. We were very conscious of each section of the song having its own identity - they all have their own world."
