Songfacts®:

  • In the TV special Oasis: Be Here Now, Noel Gallagher explained that he was dealing with a bad bout of self-inflicted food poisoning when he wrote this song. To appease his mother, who called to make sure he was eating properly, he made himself a big dinner that got him sick. This is the inspiration for the opening lines: "Made a meal and threw it up on Sunday, I've got a lot of things to learn." >>>

  • This was held out of the UK #1 spot by Elton John's "Candle In The Wind '97," which was the biggest-selling single ever.

  • Karl from Ingatestone, United Kingdomas a huge Oasis fan since August 6th 1997, i have this song on Now 38 and i seem to like it when it was released, i still do. The video was all people getting hurt whilst driving in traffic
  • Lukas from Panevëþys, Lithuaniathis song was covered by Robbie Williams. ;-)
  • Anwiya from Sterling Heights, MiSince I first heard this song, I always thought of it as "Don't Look Back in Anger" Part 2. It's a ballad with sweet guitar fills, and a memorable chorus. The lead guitar is excellent, starting with the initial solo.
  • Kristine from -, IaHow has nobody commented on this song yet?? It's amazing, especially the acoustic version. I like Noel's backup vocals (and Liam's in general) on the acoustic.
