Songfacts®:

  • This is one of three new songs recorded by Of Mice and Men for a deluxe edition of their Restoring Force album. This track, "Something to Hide" and "Never Giving Up" along with an acoustic rendition of "Feels Like Forever" were all laid down in the fall of 2014 with producer David Bendeth.
  • The song's music video was directed by Max Moore, who also filmed the band's "Bones Exposed" clip. Drummer Tino Arteaga said it examines the way technology has taken over peoples lives. "The video is a metaphor for the current state of the Internet/technology-obsessed generation," he explained. "As technology advances, life is lived out through LED screens instead of looking at the beauty in the world around us. This generation needs to begin taking action and 'unplug' instead of mindlessly entering data into computers."

  • J from UtMy unofficial meaning of the song is about a suicidal person due, initially depressed to the loss of touch due to modern communications, and is now being convinced not to end it all. "Can you hear me?" "Can you hear them calling?" "You have to find a way!"
