Songfacts®:

  • Written by Robin and Barry Gibb, this country ballad debuted on the Bee Gees' 1975 album, Main Course. Their version wasn't released as a single, but it caught Olivia Newton-John's attention when she played the album on her tour bus. She thought it was the perfect song to prove her vocal range. "I really love that song," she told Billboard. "I'm getting confidence in doing songs like that. I each album I try to add something different. But I'd also like to keep what I established myself with. Because I don't use all my voice, people think that I have much less voice than I actually use."
  • Olivia is inviting her special someone to come on over and cheer her up when times get tough.
  • This topped the Adult Contemporary chart and peaked at #5 on the country chart.
  • The Bee Gees' version featured lead vocals by Robin Gibb. They recorded a live version in Los Angeles during their Children of the World Tour and included it on their first live album, Here At Last...Bee Gees...Live.
  • Olivia sang this with Barry Gibb in 2009 at the Ryman in Nashville.
